Questions about the Carolina Code Conference
What does polyglot mean?
Polyglot means one conference for many languages. Speakers who write different languages share a single stage, and everyone in the room hears the same talks.
Who attends?
About 30 speakers and about 300 people attend, from first-time coders to people who have been shipping software for years. Meetup groups from South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, and beyond spend the weekend together.
Where and when is it held?
The conference is every August at Flywheel Coworking, 25 Goldsmith St., Greenville, SC 29609.
Where do people park?
Attendees park in the lot at 701 Poinsett Highway, Greenville, SC.
Where do people stay?
Aloft Downtown Greenville is the hotel the conference has pointed people toward. A room block, when there is one, is announced with that year's plans.
When do speaker applications open?
Speaker applications are announced on this site and in the newsletter when that year's call opens. There is not a fixed month.
How do I sponsor the conference?
Sponsorships open with the call for sponsors in November. The current list is on the sponsors page at https://carolina.codes/sponsors. To talk with the organizers, join the conference chat on Zulip: https://carolinacodes.zulip.com/
